Born in Kavieng, New Ireland, the author is now retired and lives at Airlie Beach, Queensland, with his wife Carol. They've travelled widely both internationally and within Australia. He's lived in New Guinea , Tasmania, Queensland, Western Australia, a year in Europe and half a year in S.E. Asia.

He's grown Macadamias and run cattle, been a restauranteur, wildlife park owner, property developer, storage operator, senior public servant, practising solicitor, Justice of the Peace and tax agent, as well as grown tropical fruit commercially. He's been a paper boy, worked as a surveyor's chainman, brushed scrub, worked in a timber mill, been a prelim. boy in the old Brisbane Stadium, cut cane both burnt and plants, picked tobacco and picked fruit along the Murray River .

Has been partowner and manager of ships both charter and tramp working from Europe and around the S.W. Pacific into Kieta, Bougainville on a regular basis, and Amamapare in West Irian. A keen sailor, water skier, pilot and spearfisherman, he completed National Service in the Royal Australian Navy. Loves the ocean and the reef, boating of any kind, his wife, family and good friends.

"Payback," Book 1 in the author's 'Williams Series' trilogy, was published in 2008, first edition sold out. The second edition, along with Book 2 in the series, "Puri Puri" and Book 3, "Melted Wax" have been published in 2015 now as e-bookd through Amazon as well as a print-on-demand editions.

The author was first published as a short story writer in his twenties.

In 2013 the author embarked on the adventure of a lifetime in the 5th Peking to Paris Motor Rally. Over 12,000 kms, 33 days, China, Mongolia, Russia, Ukraine, Slovakia, Austria, Switzerland and France, through dust and snow, rain and heat, cold and wind, in a 1930 Model A Ford affectionately named 'Tudor Rose.' Recuperation over several months through France, England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland followed.
